In continuation to our earlier communication, we would like to inform you that Telecom operators would initiate scrubbing of all messages including additional TLV Parameters (PE ID & Template ID) from 1st Apr’2021 onwards and the following criteria will be applicable.

We, at Leadofy, thank you for your association with us. As you are aware, the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has introduced the DLT platform to curb Unsolicited Commercial Communication (UCC), details of which have been shared with you in our previous mails as well as through notices in newspapers.

• SMS initiated from unregistered headers (Sender IDs) will be rejected.

• All promotional SMS will be scrubbed against DND preferences.

• SMS submitted without PE ID and Template ID will be rejected.

Hence we would request to register all your message templates and headers on DLT, to avoid any rejections thereafter.

Request your co-operation and support in this regard. Above mentioned date is post consensus received from all operator, In case of any change on the above dates will be informed accordingly.

We are confident that your organization must have completed registration of Headers. Telecom operators have advised us to update our customer on commencement of Template registration. Please make a note that the Brand Name of the Principal Entity needs to be clearly mentioned in the SMS Content Templates loaded into DLT.

Example 1: "Dear Customer, charges of Rs.{#var#} have been debited to your account {#var#} - Bank of India

Example 2: " tried to deliver shipment {#var#} on {#var#} to {#var#} ABC Logistics.

In the event, the name of the Principal Entity and the Brand Name used in the Content Templates do not match or an abbreviation is used, e.g. SBI or IOCL or HP, a document needs to be uploaded in DLT to establish the linkage between the two.
